If anyone knows what it's like to work at Enexis, it's Linda. She has been working here since 2004. "That says it all, doesn’t it? I just think Enexis is a good employer. There are so many opportunities for training and growth. You can also buy extra leave. If you’re having a hard time, you get the right help. I’ve held various positions and my work has always kept me on my toes. I’ve just started in my current role as an information analyst." 

New team

A brand-new team whose tasks have not yet been written in stone. A chance to actively provide input on new processes and to get the organisation on board. Linda finds her new role totally inspiring. "I collaborate with my colleagues from the Identity and Access Management business support team to help the organisation familiarise itself with the new way of working. We plan to work in a role-based way at Enexis."

Security and identity

Role-based work? Linda: "We no longer work out the individual roles and responsibilities for all the employees. We instead describe the types of functions. What systems do technicians need to do their job? What authorisations do IT professionals get? And who is eligible for the so-called high-risk roles? I’m going to meet with the various departments and managers to find out the current setup in each department and whether it still works. We’re trying to create awareness concerning tasks and responsibilities." 

Professional and personal development

Linda started her career at Enexis in 2004 as a temporary worker. She was soon hired as an office employee. "After a few years, I was ready for something new. This was at the time when Enexis split off from suppliers as a network operator and became an independent organisation with its own applications. So it was the ideal time for me to switch to ICT. I had the opportunity to become a functional manager of the new CRM package. I had no experience with that but was able to follow all kinds of training courses. That’s how I developed professionally and personally. The latter is also important to Enexis. They want you to feel good about yourself and work on your personal development."

Taking the initiative

In 2022, Linda was offered her current role as an information analyst. "How cool is that! I had indicated that I was open to doing something different and Enexis delivered. They really listened. It’s important to take the initiative yourself. Let them know if you want to follow a course or if you’re interested in a different position. There will be real opportunities available to you within Enexis."
