How you approach it
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll join a fun and friendly team where collaboration and helping each other are at the core. Everyone is passionate about their work. The teams are multidisciplinary and jointly responsible for developing, configuring, and managing the applications. We work DevOps, meaning we are responsible for both operations and development. The role covers a variety of tasks and systems.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues in different roles in an Agile environment: with a Scrum Master, DevOps team, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, and System Architect. Of course, you’ll also work with SCM Process Engineers and (end) users to clarify customer needs and assist with incidents, questions, and service requests.
You are not a functional administrator, but a proactive engineer with responsibilities such as:- Proactively identifying and solving (un)foreseen issues instead of waiting for tickets.
- Tackling and documenting root causes, not just fixing isolated problems.
- Analyzing business requirements and ensuring they are translated into IT solutions.
- Advising, implementing, configuring, and maintaining systems; recommending the best (standard) solution within existing environments and configuring it to meet customer needs.
In our friendly, multidisciplinary team, we start each workday with a stand-up meeting so everyone knows where we stand, what’s expected, and whether anyone needs help to complete their planned tasks. Together, we aim for the best possible results.
Have our (end) users been able to use the applications with minimal issues? Then you and your colleagues have done a great job!
How you approach it
You are able to oversee an entire chain of applications and have strong analytical skills. You persist with incidents until they are resolved to satisfaction. To perform well in this role, you have completed a relevant higher professional education (business administration/computer science). It is also essential that you can switch quickly and independently, both internally and towards the requester. You are also able to communicate clearly at various levels, both verbally and in writing.
Additionally, you have the empathy to align well with stakeholders, enjoy developing yourself both technologically and personally, and always see opportunities to proactively implement improvements (how does everything fit together? When does something fail? Is our architecture correct?).
We offer you plenty of training and development opportunities to further grow as a DevOps Engineer.
This is you:- You have 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with integrations and infrastructure management.
- You are a driver who challenges the status quo and seeks (future-proof) solutions.
- You have knowledge and experience with Security and IT Continuity Management.
- You are familiar with modern infrastructure such as Cloud, Containers, GitLab.
- You have an affinity with low-code (Power Automate and/or Mendix).
- You communicate clearly and effectively, both in Dutch and English.
- You are familiar with SAP or are open to learning about it.
- Knowledge of hardware is a plus.
